Synopsis

Rosa Moln (i.t The Pink Cloud Syndrome) is a common term used by the AA for when recovering alcoholics are filled with endorphins after a recovery or rehabilitation. Greipr is a young recovering alcoholic who at his release from the hospital finds himself without a job or a place to stay. Forced to find a place to spend the night  he calls the only one he hasn't hurt, Lea who he has met during his rehabilitation. Lea is a young mother that is in a current battle with the social services as she has temporarily lost the custody of her daughter Anna. 

Greipr moves in with Lea and together they help each other in their struggle toward dealing with having lost what means the most to them. As social services threaten to take away Lea's daughter from her for good and with Greipr fighting the temptations of his addiction they are forced to take som action,, their dream is to take themselves far away from their current place,, but to get there they need money and most of all, they need  Lea's daughter Anna.

About the production

Rosa Moln started out as a final examination project at the Stockholm Academy of Dramatic Arts (The Swedish National Film School) in 2014. The film was shot and a first cut was finished for industry and distributor screenings in late 2015. During 2016 the production attached distributor TriArt Film AB and is currently in final stages of finalizing the financing for the post production of the film. The film is estimated to be completed in mid 2017.

About the filmmaker

Alexis Almström is a Swedish director, writer and musician from Stockholm and was born on Febuary 25:th 1985.

Alexis started out his career as a musician going under the artist name AlexisWeak and in 2011 his debut-record "Till Minne Av" was nominated for a Swedish Grammy Award for "Rookie of the year"

In 2012 Alexis started his studies at the Stockholm Academy of Dramatic Arts (The Swedish National Film School). In 2014 he directed his debut short film Mazda. The film premiered at the 2015:th Edition of Göteborg International Film Festival. Mazda later participated in The Swedish Short Film Festival where it was awarded Gold for Best Film. Alexis also received an award for Screenwriting.

Rosa Moln (i.t The Pink Cloud Syndrome) is Alexis Almströms feature film debut and was originally a examination project at The Swedish Film School. The post-production was continued outside of school and is estimated to be finished during 2017. In 2016 Alexis started the development of his 2:nd feature film together with writer Veronica Zacco and producer Stefan Henriksson at New Stories AB.
